In August 2023, Niederbayern TV Deggendorf reported on a 28-year-old woman from Uganda with a lymphatic disease. Prof. Dr. Thiha Aung knows the situation from several humanitarian missions in Africa: basic care is often lacking, and major operations are hardly possible locally. Many diseases therefore remain untreated for a long time or are never diagnosed. Prof. Dr. Aung operated on the patient.
